  1. Thanks for the insight. Also full credits to Marisa for producing the segment. The idea behind the segment was to have Marisa troll the fans by hyping up a supposed confrontation between her and Valkyrie. The lights go out, Valkyries music hits and someone dressed as her makes her entrance… but instead it’s just Marisa who dressed as Valkyrie, does valkyrie’s entrance with valkyrie’s music in the background. The misleading nature of the thumbnail was needed cause otherwise “Marisa does Valkyrie’s entrance” would have ruined the swerve factor which was what we were trying to achieve by it. It’s a trope that happened a bunch of times in real life wrestling as well, I remember Shawn pulled it a bunch of times back in the early 2000… albeit he didn’t have the same heat of factor of Marisa Expensive lol
  2. The survey link doesn't work. Text wise, I'd say the Archer's RPs are the ones who stood out the most to me. Especially the MMM one. Short, to the point, with solid one liners. Text wise I have found them the most entertaining throughout the show, even though the rest was still solid. I dont wanna copy paste what others said cause it'd be pretty cheap, but I enjoyed the pool one the most because of the overall one liners and stuff. Archer is easily one of the best written toons if not the best. Video wise, I will pick the Maxx video and the Reese return. Starting from the Reese return, it was a classic moment of Wrestling 101 to me. The fact he returned now rather than at the go home show makes it so there is still one more show to see something between these two (these five if we consider the stable). The consequence match between them is arguably one of the most anticipated one hype wise because it is the one which has been brewing since forever so it's the one I look forward the most story wise and also because given the handlers involved there's a high chance the match itself will be great. As for the Maxx video, allow me to go off on video promos as a whole for a sec. I generally dislike powerpoint presentation promos for a bunch of reasons. I have always felt that videos should be done when you are doing something that would be less impactful if done with words (like a fight scene or something so elaborate that it makes sense for it to be a video). That is why I am not a huge fan of promos in which you get a still render cut and text slapped on the side of the screen. What does that add compared to reading it in the webshow? You need to add something unique to it to really make it stand out, like Maxx did with the Archer series and the shows. However after months, I've come to terms with the fact that OCW as a whole has changed from how it was back in 2018 and now with VPs, one show per week and Twitch streams the video portion of it it's more prevalent as it should be. Now, speaking of standards, I will say that the way Maxx does these videos it's the golden standard for everyone. They are fun to watch, high effort (!), there are animations that make them less stale and overall they are just a joy to watch. So going forward people should be using his videos as reference and try to reach this standard. As for matches I'll go with Garcia Tyson which maybe flew under the radar a little. IMHO this match was a lot closer that what it seemed in the end. Garcia fundamentally lost due to a few rookie mistakes which I will point out for the sake of him improving. There were a couple of knockdowns at the start he didn't follow up to and that cost him in the long run. Also, he spread the damage between legs, torso and even arms. Dont do that. Focusing damaging isn't necessarly meta, actually real life wrestlers do it most of the time. Try and make sure your moveset targets the body parts that you need red for your finisher. You would have probably gotten him to red by the end cause it was close. Garcia also whiffed a couple of kicks, this is 100% due to not having played enough with the caw and not being comfortable with its range. Again something that will come naturally without needing to stress it out. Also Tyson broke fpr at 6.20 but it's all cool because Doc is cooler than the other side of the pillow and we don't mind. But, it's fair to point it out. I could totally see Garcia improve a lot in the upcoming weeks because these Ls are not due to lack of coordination or timing, rather due to rookie habits that will wear off quick once you fine tune your caw and become more comfortable with your moveset. EMP vs fem Parker was the match of the night to me. As for the Tre video, all I can say is that we got folks who are active on discord literally 24/7 and are always available for help (myself included). Next time you could message them and sort shit out quick. Side note that Tyson Shirt feels a tad generic, please dm me on Discord if you want custom merch and I'll help you out.
  3. If I forgot to review something you did it is not a personal attack towards you I simply forgot Parca turning heel at the end of the Bermuda makes perfect sense as it keeps things fresh. We get that LC is virtually unstoppable and could go undefeated for years if they wanted to, so this swerve is the perfect way to keep things moving for both characters while still protecting their status. Honestly I believe Reese and Parca could totally pull off a handicap defense against some of the teams in the division but I also believe there’s a plan so it’s ultimately up to the bookers what to do next, whether they relinquish or reunite for one night only, only time will tell. The 1v1 is totally gonna happen at some point though. Caine said he was gonna wrestle Matteo in his element, aka WRESTLING, yet he came out dressed like a BOXER? I mean I’m all for boxer Caine don’t get me wrong, but it was a bruh moment indeed for me at least. Matteo was cosplaying as Bane? The Batman villain? I don’t remember the name. Either way the match was better than expected, it was a lot closer but when you are booked against Matteo you know you are gonna job either way so props to Caine for walking this suicidal route with no second thoughts whatsoever. Caine did look good on the sticks honestly, I feel like he is ready for the main event scene and given the quality of his all around presentation I’d say he’s ready. Let’s see what the future holds for Matteo instead. Wrex retirement is probably the only one I actually believe in, both in character and out of character. The story arc of him becoming progressively “older” IC over the years has been well thought out and was relatable in a way. We will see if this is true or not. He’s a really good storyteller imho for consistency, underrated as fuck. The triple threat was in my opinion a little bit better than the other one because it was shorter and to the point with less kickouts and breakups. Everything went smooth I believe, I honestly don’t remember each and every single spot. Tre winning gives the wolves some much needed credibility and with the addition of a new member they now can pose a serious threat to most people. Colin losing the title soon isn’t necessarily a bad thing because he wasn’t pinned plus we understand he knows how to write so there’s little doubt that he will be able to bounce back from this big time. Danny won it in a triple threat but tonight just wasn’t his night I guess, but no big deal imho. I did not fully understand the VALcano promo in all honesty. I love the character for sure, I just don’t understand what’s happening. Is there a narrator saying those things? Is she thinking about those things? While being short and to the point is totally fine, I believe you should give us a little bit more context to really enjoy your solid character work that so far has been on point for sure. Props to Derek, Garcia and even Tucker for showing up and submitting content. Short and to the point, but nice to see. Summer is definitely the best time for new people to shine given how many of them take breaks and whatnot, so keep this up and you will make a big impact for sure. The ending of the LHW match has already been discussed at length and I’m not gonna add anything new to the conversation. If we look at the division as a whole HJHONHHh being champion is a nice turn of events as it freshen things up a little and gives credibility to a toon that is supposedly all about wrestling so it makes sense for him to be a wrestling champion. Now obviously you can’t fuck up because being a champion here is different from being a champion somewhere else, here you have to uphold a certain level of content creation and match quality so going forward you need to strive to keep up the good work you have been putting in and get better and better. Mike Archer was a fun back and forth and delivered imho. It was nice to see Mike in action despite him being busy IRL and not being able to maybe fully commit but still. Hopefully he will stick around and hop into another program right away. The FI match was good fun honestly. Chaotic but not over the top. Mujera winning? Not a bad thing all things considered, she is quite a threat and will keep interesting going forward for sure. Also her being heel means she won’t put the briefcase on the line again (right???) which is good because it’s been played to death. Hopefully this win will motivate the handler to keep the character more involved because I do believe she does have quite an unique persona and is one of those toons that despite the simple attire, looks unique enough to stand out from a crowd of CAWs. Neither VALcano nor Marisa have anything to feel sorry about this match as they have both been extremely active and the fact that they have been booked on Lution is alone a very good thing they should be proud of. The returning woman reveal was also interesting, let’s see where things go from here. Flojo got close to her moment but not close enough, she surely will have another chance in the future or go straight for the title if she feels like. Same goes for Parker imho. Overall good stuff. The lotus promo felt like an old school flojo promo if that makes any sense, maybe hinting at a face turn at some point in the future. I believe Flojo being somewhat Flojo again and no longer being Purple Lotus is potentially a good thing because if the writer feels comfortable about what they are doing, chances are what they write it’s going to be better and I feel like Gooch may feel more comfortable in this original dimension. That being said I also believe the whole HOF story, despite a couple of hiccups due to IRL issues, was extremely solid and captivating, reason why it would hypothetically be kinda disappointing to watch flojo turn face without a payoff match against a HOF member that could really set the tone and signal the turn once and for all. What it looks like from the show is that the turn might very well happen soon but Joanna also did something different and is hinting at a different direction, but maybe this is a swerve because flojo did mention HOF towards the end of the promo. There are a few ways this can go and there is potential for sure. The main event night one was good, I don’t really know what to say about it. Solid back and forth action and it didn’t drag either so it was enjoyable to watch. Out of all the Lution retirements, the B17 one is possibly the least believable from an OOC perspective. It’s really hard for me to believe that he is done but time will tell. Some time off can do no wrong there for sure. Also I’m not a huge fan of the new title design, when compared to the previous one which was, I believe, the best looking one in OCW, but still it makes sense to change things up a little. The opening FI was great. Maybe the entrances a little long (15 minutes in total) but still, a lot of neat spots, it’s honestly hard for me to say whether it was better or worse than the other FI because they were both action packed and played by people who were just there to fight and have fun, rather than just go for the case right away. Maybe top spot was Kass with the swanton killing h2o on the steel ladder… I honestly don’t remember every single spot, there were so many. I’d say Kassidy winning was great given how much effort he’s been putting into his new version of his toon so it kinda makes sense for his arc to get his feel good moment. I probably would not have cashed it in the same night lol albeit the temptation to main event Lution is pretty huge lol so I kinda understand that. Jay vs Spooder was to me the most anticipated match and it didn’t disappoint. I really liked Jay's attire, I did not like spider’s that much but considering it was supposed to be a street fight it did make sense for me to come out all bloodied. Either way the match itself was really fun, an intense back and forth that we will be talking about for months and years in discord because of how iconic it was. Iconic and also ironic given how much of a factor resiliency has been and the fact spooder did not have it due to him not being the hall of fame. Hopefully he will find a way to sneak in the hall of fame at some point. The only thing I didn’t like about the match was the Moonsault to the outside, while it did pop everyone it was just way too much Imho lol kinda hard to believe… the elbow was much better and I believe it did get a reaction that was just as loud. That said Spider has a very entertaining moveset that makes every exchange fun and funny at the same time, with all the references, stolen moves and whatnot. Sensation winning means we will get more fuel banter for the discord server so not a bad thing overall. What in the actual fuck was drago wearing The triple threat was honestly way too effin long but of course it’s not like it’s anyone’s fault. The card placement did not help either due to the fact it was put immediately after a match that took the life out of the VP for how intense it was so it was hard to really follow this one with the same intensity. That said props to everyone who was involved in this one because they were all winners in my eyes. Rust for pulling off an extremely hard defense while looking like a monster and delivering finishers left and right. Props to him. Congrats to Cort for winning the best Lution attire award with that jacket, everyone went crazy when they saw it as they should. While I do like corts attire and I believe it is one of the better ones in ocw period, I also think it is maybe time to refresh your wardrobe a little and put on something else. Maybe just a color scheme change, nothing crazy but just a thought. The real winner of the night is Iceman IMHO because Wrestlution was in my eyes his full graduation, not only from an FPR perspective but from a content creation perspective. He showed he is 100% clean when it comes to the in ring action, even backed off when he knew he fucked up on a fin (I don’t remember exactly where but it happened) and that was a class act. If you add on top of this the uniqueness of his character, the uniqueness of his promos, the consistency of his content you really get why he should be considered a wrestler and no longer a rookie. The return of Dane was unexpected honestly. Him being associated with Dillinger and feuding with Cort will be interesting for sure given how fresh is character is (at least in eyes of those who haven’t been here since 1957) and the fact he’s surrounded by very talented writers. Time will tell where this goes but it does have the potential to make a big impact. Same goes for Telos, KD and Jack Sparrow. The pirate in particular stood out for me the fucking attire was awesome. I want to see more. Please. If mantis doesn’t want to be HMR then I don’t see an issue with that. HOWEVER, at least he should acknowledge the stipulation in some way. There are so many ways this can be written out I don’t even know where to start. He could pull a Finn Balor and stay green, while using HMR when booked in grudge matches as some sort of “ultra version of himself” which would allow him to keep his green colors he so frantically wants. He could claim HMR is a split part of his personality that is taking control, he’s fighting back against it, like Spider-Man 3. There’s literally so many ways you can honor the stipulation while STILL being green mantis… and he’s (unironically I swear) a good writer too so he could totally pull this off if he wanted to. Everything but this. It’s not my toon so ultimately everyone should feel free to do whatever they please. This is just my advice to a character that I unironically love and believe he has a fuckton of potential given how often he is talked about on discord even more than actual Champions and prolific writer (This is something to be considered…) As for the Owen guy, I absolutely loved the package and the presentation. We all have inspirations, even EMP who is arguably the most creative person on the roster when she started out she was basically our own version Asuka however she quickly adapted and moved from that template and developed into their own thing. Now I don’t watch NXT Uk but even if I don’t I still got Walter vibes from the presentation and the whole Mat Enforcer thing is fundamentally the same vibe as the Ring General thing (that’s how he calls himself right?). I will totally admit that Valkyrie is pretty much a Viking version of Candice Lerae and Xia Brookside, however I do believe you should maybe try and give it a little spin to it, a different attire or just a different catchphrase to make him feel a little different. That said, it’s not a big deal at all, just a word of advice for the future because the skill is totally there. Jehst vs Maxx was good. Maybe not a five star classic because it was short and to the point, but not every match has to go on for 50 minutes or so. In complete honesty I was maybe expecting a little bit more attire wise as they both looked like they were wrestling in weekly attires but I think the entrances kinda made up for it and gave the whole match the proper epicness. They are both flashy over the top showboats so you know, you’d expect them to sport something over the top for Lution but I have no doubts it was a well thought out choice. This obviously didn’t impact the actual match, just an observation. It was probably explained in a roleplay somewhere and I missed it. That said Maxx really stood out to me overall lately for how good the content is, how he manages to be at the same time light hearted but also funny and entertaining without necessarily being cringe, if that makes any sense. He just needs to get a little bit better on the sticks and then he will surely be a potential main event candidate, if not already. He’s just like Caine in my opinion, the complete package but just needs a couple of big wins to really make that jump. The HIAC was surprisingly good and props to the handlers because frankly it’s extremely hard to make a good match out of that stipulation. In general I’ve seen people complain when the cell doesn’t break, complain if the cell breaks but looks artificial and so on and so forth. It takes a certain degree of skill to make a match like this work and they did it so that alone is a win in my books. The empress attire + entrance was honestly phenomenal, I was blown away by the use of green screen and everything. So props there for making it good. The story as a whole was very much entertaining and light hearted, but somehow violent at the same time, both terms that perfectly sum up the essence of emp and her gimmick. Who knows what’s gonna happen next but there are a numbers of very interesting opponents that I could see her take on, Terra flojo and so on… even Joanna given the rp that was posted on the show. Well nobody predicted that the main event was gonna be “”””ruined””” by Kassidy. While quartz vs Ortiz was easily one of the most anticipated matches ever, this triple threat still delivered due to the history between the toons and the quality of the match itself which was filled with neat spots and entertaining top to bottom. I believe everyone thought Kassidy had it at one point and it would have been such a great moment but then the Kickout happened. The double AA spot was also amazing for how organically it happened, prolly the moment of the night right next to Jay breaking fpr on Spooder. Is Nate really done? Maybe, his retirement could be plausible if he decides to focus more on different characters. Overall his run was solid and while some claim dominion had their ups and downs, I still believe they did what they had to do and pulled it off better than most stables did in the past.
  4. Sorry if I missed something Good promo from VALcano to start things off. She kinda reminds me of OG Flojo in the way she is unhinged on the mic and very energetic. Honestly I didn’t particularly like the previous one she released on Riot two weeks ago as I felt her character didn’t really show, but this one is much better. It’s short sweet and to the point, plus the Morrison method was used correctly. It sells the match and makes you wanna see more. DAYUM Rustin is now a #sadboi and he’ll be bumpin Lil Xan and Lil Peep during his Sunday’s strolls. JK I think the way Rust reacted to his two losses is neat and realistic. Empathy is a smart card to play at this current time and I wouldn’t hate to see a Rust vs KD match possibly followed by a rust midcard belt run. I think being able to play off defeats and keep the character evolving is the best skill one could have in ewrestling and this is a good example of how to bounce back from it without necessarily taking time off with the character. Speaking of VALcano, Jesus her render reminds me of the GTA San Andreas Pedestrians on PS2. I’m not sure if it’s the resolution or whatever, but I immediately felt some sort of nostalgia when it popped up on my YouTube feed. Now, if I have to be completely honest, I think the caw doesn’t really match my mental image of VALcano that I’ve developed throughout the weeks based on the promos. In fact while her promos, entrance theme and why not, even the moveset are quite energetic, the attire feels very depressing and moody. The fire was a nice touch but I think a more flashy and colorful attire would fit her flamboyant persona even more. It’s not really a big deal, just my two cents. Many of us started out with caws that look MILES different from today’s versions, myself included so it can and will definitely change over the next months. You are also lucky in a way because OCW is filled with very talented and helpful creators willing to help out. Nothing to say about Joanna honestly, she looks unique compared to the roster and I quite like the one piece suits as they are not that common. The FPR was okay, just remember that when someone bumps you you shouldn’t attack them right away. Always give space and reset. Overall a solid debut, with Joanna looking strong and VALcano showing potential for the future. Hyped as fuck to see mad mike back in OCW. Jehst is surely an interesting opponent and the perfect partner to play off this feud, I couldn’t have imagined a better pair to be completely honest. Judging by the content Mike posted on and off throughout the years I kinda already had a mental image of how his toon was going to be, but seeing him actively involved in OCW programming is a completely different thing. Overall the RP was quite interesting and even disturbing at times, but it was solid. Nice use of images as well. Maybe next time you could even use your caw cuts and actually have them in the scene or whatnot, albeit I do understand it’s a lot of effort. Interested to see where this will go. What I liked the most about The tag team match is the many layers this match offers. In fact, on one side you have a newly formed tag team who were former rivals and on the other side an established team that has been dominant for quite some time and many feel like something is about to happen. The match should be also intriguing from a competitive perspective as well since H2O and DOC have been really good together lately. The trio match was solid. You can definitely tell the wrestling club is getting there as this is an improvement compared to the previous matches from them. You can also tell that the work JC not S has put in DM chat is showing as he performed quite well compared to his partners. This match wasn’t necessarily about winning, rather about showing how much they are improving and while I can possibly remember every single thing that happened (25 minutes), I felt like it was far smoother than the previous ones. All they need is consistency promo wise and just keep grinding. Good to see Aisu back as well (I know, this is not his return match, he has been back for a while), but you get what I’m saying. Happy to see Elliot back. While the brother doesn’t have the same amount of momentum the sister has at this current time, he still comes off some solid matches from last year/season. This segment keeps us guessing as to what might happen in his future without revealing too much, which is good, although there’s a hint towards the end suggesting he might go after the LHW which could definitely be a solid rivalry as both handlers have shown good things so far. No way man… Flojo just got BONKED and sent to horny jail. RIP flojo… wait! The HOF is planning another BONKENING? Oh shit, we better strap in Marisa Welch pulls a Rust and is depressed too. Probably got hit in the head too many times with those neck bumps at Clash. In fairness, I quite like the introspective elements here as they add to the character. We’ve seen something similar in her written work, but this time around it is in video format. I can definitely enjoy this Asher swerve in a cringe/comedy way a la Bobby Lashley x Lana. I just can’t actually relate to her because of the overall look and gimmick, which make Marisa fun to hate but hard to relate to in my opinion. The effort here is undeniable, she just keeps going even after defeats which is nice to see. My only gripe with the character is the overall presentation as I believe you can easily pull off the hot girl gimmick without being overly explicit. This horse however has been beaten to death already and I’m not gonna get into it, so I’ll just applaud the effort and enjoy the story for what it has to offer. Tucker is alive and well. Not really much to say about this segment as it was very short and didn’t say much other than him being, in fact, alive and well. Let’s goooooo Iceman vs Shep stole the show imho. It was very good and back and forth all the way through. This is the big W Iceman needed to propel himself to the upper mid card and get some attention. As for Shep, I am generally not a huge fan of recycled in game assets but those Ziggler trunks are fucking awesome and they fit the character brilliantly, it would have been a complete waste not to use it so I won’t be complaining at all. Overall good stuff from both players, they used the weapons according to the stipulation, they fought all over the ringside area as they were supposed to. I popped for the body slam into a chair spot at 12.07 and for the finish. I didn’t necessarily dislike the Quartz x Spooder x TY rp as it definitely served its purpose of making TY somewhat relatable and giving the other two characters space and time to shine. I got huge Alex Riley vibes here as he was also kinda mute back then, he never really spoke that much but the people still popped when he turned on Miz and had his moment. I would however like to see more from TY as a whole, more lines, a more defined gimmick and so on. This RP and story definitely sets the perfect chance for him to make a big impact and play off two strong and well written characters. I just wished he would use this opportunity a bit more. See Maxx Edwards here does exactly what TY could do with Quartz and Spooder at some point in the future, he plays off his heel gimmick and becomes relatable, while still growing as a character, becoming more layered and so on as he evolves and shows a different side of him. B17 x Archer match sounds intriguing enough. These two characters when put against each other can put on quite entertaining promos as they complement each other in a way. Let’s see where this goes. Great stuff from Colin this season. You can definitely tell he’s got a different pace compared to the rest of his rookie class in regards to quality, consistency and quantity. In a Turmoil in which everyone sold the fallout from Clash, he did it as well despite him being the winner of his match. This promo makes him relatable and solidifies his white meat underdog gimmick. The Judge x Trance was surprisingly short given the stipulation but it made for an enjoyable watch for sure. Nice finisher Kickout towards the end and a finisher shortly after to seal the deal. I’ll be honest, Judge gives me more babyface vibes than heels ones so I could totally see him transitioning towards a more comedy face role at some point in his career. Can’t wait for the emp championship party next week. Her video work is always top notch so I’m expecting something amazing for sure. Fuck Terra Daturas and her shitty flowers The Danny Watts x Colby segment was honestly the best possible way to cash in the momentum he had off his feud against Fraser, so it’s booking 101 here in my opinion. I really dig Colby’s look, neat as fuck just like every caw Aries touches. Man I am a huge fan of ??? I cannot wait for him to return to his iconic theme, “???” Played by the ????. Do you guys remember when he hit that guy with his ??? finishing move? Because I do. I popped so hard ??? back in the days. Dylan, his name is H2O. Harvey Hamilton Ocean. The longest reigning champion in OCW history. Don’t act like you don’t know him. Jokes aside, keep the action separated from the dialogue section of the RP. While it’s not really a big deal, it’s just easier to read imho. That being said, this was a good example of what a post match RP should be. It sells what happened while still showing some showing the positive aspects of the L and why the trio has potential to improve in the future. It also shows frictions within them which makes for interesting scenarios for future RPs, who knows maybe even a split and rivalry. It’s funny how Wrex and Kass followed similar trajectories in becoming more relatable faceish toons, but while Wrex kept most of his previous gimmick intact, Kassidy changed quite a lot of it and he is now a completely different wrestling personality. This segment was short and to the point. It sold the main event and gave us a reason to care about it. Fin. I swear to Jesus Christ if I was alone in a dark alleyway and Solomon Caine’s CAW appeared in front of me I’d pee my pants right away. He looks so creepy YET somehow it fits the character so please never change it. OwO what’s this? Looks like Caine has unfinished business with a couple of people. But isn’t Danny busy already? Welp, let’s see who is gonna get shot up next. I can agree on the fact that TLBS did not walk away from Clash as a complete loser. Matter of fact, he still has quite a lot of momentum on his side. What the character is missing in order to make the full jump from midcard to the main event is a more developed gimmick. At this current time there’s a lack of dark spooky toons in OCW so Matteo can totally fit in very well. All he needs right now is to delve more into that dark side of his persona. He’s a spooky intimidating person right? Then how come he gets made fun of by fucking Cobra on an interview? Cobra should be scared shitless, yet he yawns to his face? This is what I feel could be the next step in his character development. You wanna be spooky? Then actually be spooky. The match itself was fine, nothing to write home about. Huge fan of Cobras attire, it’s Zelda inspired and I got the reference. I feel like this could be a thing with cobra wearing videogame specific attires every time he is booked. Could be neat. Suplex into a finisher for TLBS and GG. OwO what’s this? Someone even crazier than Matteo is on the X tron? Man… this feud is gonna be something alright. Jordan’s promo was wrestling 101 in my opinion. Simple, clear, to the point. Sells what happens in the match and portrays his gimmick properly, setting up Jordan for his future on the blue show of OCW. Farewell to Ashley Moore. The longest reigning women’s champion and the one and only 3x champ of the modern era. An absolute work horse since day one and most of all a good friend. She accomplished so much in so little time. Definitely deserves a break/retirement. Again, while there could be a lot of great names that B17 could face, like Tony, Rust, even Nate… I still believe archer vs B17 is the match that most people wanna see. Now whether or not it’s going to happen at Lution or R2G I don’t know. But I feel like it is the best direction for both toons. The dominion reunion towards the end was much needed. While it’s great to see each character involved in individual storylines, I feel it’s important to keep the faction portrayed as a strong cohesive unit. Rust in particular stood out to me the most, because I sense this episode has been a key turning point not only for his season but potentially for his gimmick as a whole. Sure, dominion is back on the same page, but are they really? There are many ways things can go from here and they all lead to fire matchups and scenarios. The main event was much more evenly matched that I was expecting. I honestly felt like Kassidy was done for and Wrex was just about to put him away but instead Kass found a way to dig in and mount some sort of comeback. I would hope the low blow ending is not just for the sake of it but also a reference to the previous ballbusting gimmick Kassidy had when back in Kasstianity. Karma is an absolute bitch at times, for sure.
  5. (Didnt Watch night one yet but I will) Got the chance to watch bits of night two live so here is some hot takes The ladder match was great, it had everything it was supposed to have in my opinion. Funny spots and botches like the double ladder jumps, carnage all over the place and legit “he must be dead” moments too. It also showed all the limitations of the actual game for the way it is programmed. For example, Doc hit a piledriver on Ant ON A FUCKING LADDER, but since technically it was a reversal the game pretty much no sold it. Obviously it didn’t take anything away from the match itself, it’s just something funny that came up to my mind. It was long but imho it made sense because a) they legit wanted to kill each other more than the title b) made sense as the escalation of a blood feud/final chapter c) it was the opener so I didn’t feel like it dragged. The Pride title match was great, fast paced, hard hitting moves and over all a very fluid but highly competitive match. Aisu tried to mount some sort of comeback towards the end but he never really seemed like he could pull this one off. Their move sets made this match unique to watch and entertaining. One of the better ones of night 2 for sure. Tag Match was fun to watch even though it lacked the OMG moments the ladder match had, for obvious reasons give the stipulation. Noticed some people saying that a thing that affected it was not being super evenly matched but COMP IS COMP and CAW IS CAW, otherwise we would be getting tired of super close back and forth matches all the time too. Other than that it was enjoyable. Props to HUSA for the amazing attires phew they were great. As for Matteo, even though I understand what he was trying to do with that black paint, the end result took me away from the actual match a bit because it was involuntarily funny. We have a ton of talented creators ( not me) and a fuckton of assets so someone could probably help pull off a realistic “burned” CAW if that’s what you are going to stick to from here on out. The HIAC itself is incredibly hard to pull it off and keep it entertaining because of the way the game is programmed that makes the transitions between ring and top of the cell incredibly forced and awkward to look at, that’s why I wouldn’t criticize too much the match itself because I feel like the feud was amazing and both Matteo and Caine have been tremendously consistent with their work. Also that ending sequence with Kass left me wondering… are we going to see a return? Lol Ashley and Debbie was what it needed to be. A good, competitive, back and forth match. Great attire from both, especially Debbie. I really like the entrance and the details that have been added to the caw. Ashley’s promo was a nice touch, I loved it, simple but to the point. I don’t remember exactly where Grimm’s promo was but I’ll put it here. Leo is a very talented creator, he constantly surprises us with a unique promo style that fits him and his caw. Interested to see what is going to happen now with this new character. Ortiz Aries was amazing, probably MOTN contender along with the Pride match. A lot of amazing spots and the ending sequence was simply amazing, I didn’t even know you could pull a major off an OMG moment up until now. Fun stuff, and props to whoever did that green screen promo, I can’t imagine how much time it took. Man, Rust finally did it as H2O goes out after an amazing, record breaking reign that will be remembered for a while. Honestly I don’t even know what to say about the match itself. Congratulations to Rust for what was a long time coming achievement. And that post match reveal scene DOE S/O to commentary
  6. The scene opens once again in Dr. Grabb’s office. Valkyrie and Empress are sitting in two separate armchairs as the doctor is fiddling around with his notebook. Dr. Grabb: Alright! Today we are going to do a little Roleplay… I’m gonna ask you some questions and you will tell me what you would do in said situations. Ready? Valkyrie & Empress: Uhm? Dr. Grabb: You are approached by a frenzied scientist, who yells, "I'm going to put my quantum harmonizer in your photonic resonation chamber!" What's your response? Valkyrie: What… the… heck… Empress: what’s a Quadruple tums harmonica? Is that some kinda hentai? Dr. Grabb: Interesting answers! You discover a young boy lost in the lower levels of the city. He's hungry and frightened, but also appears to be in possession of stolen property. What do you do? Valkyrie: I’d tell himt to give me back the stolen goods so I can turn them to the police. I will also tell him not to steal ever again! How dare he?! Empress: I discipline the child with harsh hurtful words all while socking the kid in the face and I would take his items to teach him not to steal from people. Dr. Grabb: Old Mr. Abernathy has locked himself in his apartment again, and you've been ordered to get him out. How do you proceed? Valkyrie: I will just blow the door open with a shotgun. This is how Americans solve problems, am I right? Empress: Fuck him. Let him stay in there. Old bastard will get hungry and have to leave sooner or later. Then I’ll sock him in the mouth to teach him friends don’t keep friends out. The doctor writes down some notes as both Valkyrie and Empress look on. Dr. Grabb: That's enough for today! See you tomorrow ladies!
  7. Therapy Session #5 We find ourselves staring at the same doctor's door. The Office is strangely quiet and the door is partially cracked open. We see Valkyrie and Empress sitting on a red couch next to each other as Dr. Grabb sits across from them in his armchair. Dr Grabb: Alright today we are going to do something a bit different. We will be taking a page straight out of Rorschach and analyze these pictures together. Look at this one first and tell me what you see… Valkyrie: I see.. a mask? Like a superheroine maybe. Someone who hides behind a secret identity to fight their own battles! Empress: Looks like someone spilled ink on a paper. Dr.Grabb: No! no...Tanaka what do you see inside the ink. Empress: I don’t know. Um, I guess kinda what Sarah said except looks like hands casting some kind of spill from hide a mask. Like a crime fighter. Dr Grabb: Very interesting thoughts, indeed. What about this one instead? Valkyrie: I see my Socialblade statistics… I see the spike in my Twitter Followers who keep rising day after day after day. They mean the world to me. I don’t know what I’d do if I didn’t have them… Empress: Looks like two Combatants at odds with each other. And getting ready to kick the shit out one another. Dr Grabb: Alright. I think that’s enough for today. We will continue this tomorrow. The office door closes as the camera fades to black.
  8. Therapy Session #4 The camera focuses on the same familiar name on the same door we have seen the past couple weeks. The muffled sounds of yelling can be heard from the opposite side of the door. As the door opens we see Empress and Valkyrie in each others face the sounds of both women yelling at each other filling the room. Dr. Grabb takes off his glasses and rubs his fingers over his eyes in a sign of annoyance. Dr.Grabb: Okay! Okay... okay..I need you both to calm down Ms. Tanaka and Ms. Stevenson please. Dr.Grabb: Ms. Tanaka can we talk about what happened on Riot? Did you not do the meditation exercises Ms. Daturas showed you? You seem to have lost control again. Tanaka: Yes I did. They didn’t work. And She wouldn’t stay down.. She needed to stay down. So I made her stay down. And if Ms...Stevenson! Keeps yelling in my face I’ll put her down too. Why is she even here anyway!? Stevenson: Good question! I don’t even know why I am here to begin with! I don’t need therapy, I am perfectly fine! This psychopath here.. She needs it more!!!/b Dr.Grabb: Enough! Ms. Tanaka, Ms. Stevenson seems to be suffering from the same possible levels of rage, stress and anxiety. So I figured since you two are so close maybe we can hit two birds with one stone. So I would like it if you two can get along so maybe we can solve both your problems. Is that okay with you Ms. Stevenson? Stevenson: Get along? With this… scum? Are you kidding? Do you have the slightest idea of what we’ve been through? She kidnapped my parents, tried to kill me in multiple occasions and don’t even get me started on… Dr.Grabb: Wait! Wait! Wait! Let’s all calm down and work this out like grown ups. The scene fades
  9. Interesting card, good luck to those who are booked
  10. Mmmmm.... I wouldn't trust a Backstabbersception member
  11. Thank you for putting it together
  12. I hope I didn't left anything out lol Parca is truly a great babyface, someone you can easily get behind both because of the floppy fighting style and because of the promos. It’s fighting season is stuck in my head for a while now and it’s one of the catchiest catchphrases of season for sure. The promo was good and it served its purpose of hyping up the main event. Good stuff. Interesting promo between Cort and Doc as they both exchanged words prior to their match. Both were cocky and kinda full of themselves, it was definitely a fun interaction. I liked the nod Doc made to his past self, mentioning how he has grown as a wrestler during the year(s) I vote for Flojo to be the next number one contender after the Empress Ashley feud gets its closure. She’s been consistent and better at the game minus a few fpr hiccups here and there. I can’t say much about this promo as I read it before the show was posted but it’s good to see Gooch finally taking initiative and making a name for FloJo. Looking forward to see what happens next. Jehst Parker Well the match itself was pretty much a squash, not much to say here. Not a huge fan of Parker’s theme but the caw looks neat. Meh on the exchange at 5,40, it’s a grey area but imho if you get hit you should reverse rather than mash buttons, cause if everyone did that it would open a pandora box meta wise. Then again it’s just a small thing, it doesn’t take anything away from the win and the solid moveset of Jehst. Good win for Jehst who now moves to the Xbox side of ocw (?) and opens up a lot of interesting scenarios in the future. Cort and Jehst teaming up? Oh Jesus here come 8 pages long rps…. (Jk) Joopiter promo was interesting even though I feel like the feud with Montgomery went a bit under the radar because of the alt syndrome. Mixing things up with some video work might have helped the story stand out a little bit more. Anyways I feel like this is one of the best fleshed out characters on the roster and he really makes for a very punchable heel, even though he gives me comedy heel vibes (idk if intentional) The Ashley x Terra promo gave me diabetes but it served its purpose of hyping up the match against Empress and it was refreshing in a sense that we didn’t get to see the classic heel vs face confrontation but a different one. Ashley all over the show as a champion should be and Terra showing character development and consistency as every character should. Terra Empress The match itself was great, imho motn contender along with Doc Cort. I was expecting Empress to at least get Terra to red but alas it didn’t happen so props to Terra. I was worried about a single yellow scenario but at least Empress managed to kick out of the first one. Nothing to be ashamed of as the rainmaker is one of those moves I will never understand how to reverse, like the rebound kinshasa. Anyways gg to both Lost Boys segment was neat, it was the first time I read it. Both Parker and TY really benefited from this direction as it helped them flesh out their characters more. And the Parca cameo? Oh boy Insane effort in the video work from Ashley and Empress. The arena sounds, the fight sounds, the graphics nameplates and the right in the breadbasket reference (you weren’t even around for that one, what in the…?) Anyways they really took things to the next level as they often do. Somewhat emotional RP from Antonio as he builds up the hype for the confrontation against his former tag partner. Looking forward to this one even though we’ve already seen it (it wasn’t cannon doe) Judge Leroy looked a lot better this time around, did you do something to him? Music is on point, entrance attire okay and the face finally resembles an actual middle aged man more than the default caw dummy. Approved. The match itself was alright, definitely not a squash. Nick please teach me how to button mash out of grapples, at 2.50 you got out like a boss. A ton of mid moves later and The Sexiest Man Alive brings it home with a ddt. GG to both Solid RP from Jackson Montgomery. He’s a great roleplayer with a solid looking caw. He’s not going to fall for TMCJ’s mind games but will he fall for his finisher? I guess we shall see! Good to see Benjamin and Alex Asher working some sort of program. Can’t say I’m invested in their characters because I haven’t seen much from them up until now. But both of their caws look really good and they fit their gimmicks, which is a positive thing. Triple Threat Wasn’t expecting TY to pull it off but he did. Strong win for him and hopefully a chance to get more exposure for the character. Sanders really looks like one of those young lions caws that some people had in mind for new rookies (I don’t know if it was intentional or not), either way it definitely gives me Rookie vibes. The ending was a bit out of nowhere but good nonetheless. Apocalypse aka evil Ricky literally hangs the old Ricky and kills him on live TV. Ok? Anyways, good to see you back in an unexpected heel version. One advice I’d give you is to either use punctuation in your RPs or to split them in multiple lines to make it easier for whoever reads them. Dims is to Sanders like KD is to Coolidge pretty much and I like the mentor/student relationship. Nothing else to say for now other than I hope this wasn’t just a one off cameo. Doc Cort Solid match, long compared to others but fast paced. I really liked the ending sequence, reversals exchange to finisher always looks smooth. Cort walking out of range made me laugh as it’s something that I used to do when panicking, it’s just a subconscious reaction I think lol. Anyways solid contest, not much else to add. The Troupe RP is good in the sense that it makes the characters be active on the show and keeps them consistent and relevant in the Turmoil scene, which is great to see when compared to other alts that are not exactly as active as them. That said I wished these RPs had more of a direction and an actual story development, cause they feel a bit repetitive after a few of them. The animation video is legit one of the best content I’ve seen in my almost 2 years of OCW. I wish they didn’t pass unnoticed or taken for granted as they often are because this is simply next level quality here. What I liked about the Cort x B17 RP is the fact that despite he is fighting kasstianity he has kept his heel persona, at the least that’s the feeling I got when he was making up silly excuses to cover up his loss. At this point I am wondering if this is really going to end in a one on one fight for the FI case? I guess we find out soon enough Matteo Parca Don’t ask me why but when I read House of Horsecore I was expecting an actual Hardcore match so I got a bit disappointed when I realise it was just a standard contest. That said it was still enjoyable even though it was a lot shorter than expected. Parca relied a lot on the kick outs at Anniversary but it’s a slippery slope (correct term right?) because if you miss one it’s game over. I don’t feel like Parca’s status is affected by this Ls, meta wise he just needs some time to get used to PS4 I guess. Strong showing for Matteo. Matteo brags about his w and (kinda) CALLS OUT ™ Wrex? Not really a call out but I guess we shall see what happens next Interesting development for the CCW world title scene. I can see it main eventing Lution, but I wasn’t expecting CQC to get in the way on the road to Lution. Rust Quartz is definitely an interesting match up but I’ve always imagined it after the break up if that makes any sense. Kinda like the Uncrowned are doing right now. But I guess since we are already seeing that story playing out with Doc Ev, this idea gives us both an interesting match a lot of people were waiting to see and hopefully a preview of things to come at a later stage when Quartz and Rust might break up. (If that even happens).
  13. The Heather H2O RPs were amazing. I had the chance to read them since last year and watching them now after everything that happened feels really epic in some ways, because there’s a lot of attention to details and realism. The fact that they went through everything but somehow they reunited themselves tonight was really intriguing and adds another layer on the complexity of both characters which is something you can do only when you are consistent with them regardless of wins and losses, because you can get a story out of every outcome if you are creative enough. Really, really good stuff here. International Nice and short match that told a good story and wasn’t excessively long. Weird to see Watts with the Mr Undefeated hoodie since he is not undefeated (he lost to Joopiter if I remember correctly). Either way I felt like it was entertaining and a nice way to showcase one of PS4 rookies who hopefully is going to stick around and being involved more in the future. Caine Lee Career defining win for Caine against a Turmoil legend in what was a very interesting storyline that went on a bit unnoticed. Not much else to say other than it’s nice to see more and more PS4 people stepping up their game. The promo package was very well done and so was the signature + finisher combo for the win The Flojo x Cobra RP was nice and short but it doesn’t really add much to what we’ve seen already from the two. It still served its purpose of keeping both characters on the show though TY Jehst Honestly I thought Jehst was going to win this but he didn’t. Congrats to both as the match was overall entertaining and not too long. Ending was a bit meh but that’s not really their fault, I just felt like the final pick up bump after those high impact moves was a bit awkward. Either way good showing for both as TY proves himself as one of the most promising rookies on PS4 TLB vs Code I was rooting for Code because of that underdog feel but I was expecting TLB to win and he did fairly easily too. The post match scene was too much in my opinion as Code not only lost the match but he had been on the receiving end of many segments throughout the feud. I understand you wanted to have an “Accendi” moment with the flaming table but it could have worked the same with Code putting TLB through it instead and have some sort of mini revenge. The Turmoil attire felt a bit generic to me, Code is an awesome roleplayer and can surely have a better identity overall. Either way I hope he sticks around for the rest of the season. GG to Matteo as well. Jehst sorta snaps after the match, it was good to see even though I wished TY would have been there for a line or two. Regardless playing the “i went easy on you” was a nice way to write off the L and keeps the story open to new possibilities in the future. Tag Match Not much to say about the match itself, it was shorter than average but good overall. The finish was a bit awkward with Doc just standing there as Quartz ran in late (botchamania moment) but it’s a nitpick really. I wasn’t expecting the turn at all. If I had to bet my own money I would have bet on Antonio turning on Doc instead because he has always been kinda the Marty Jannetty of the duo if that makes any sense, obviously just in kayfabe and not ooc (he held the minor title and not the world one, for example and so on), then again he has more babyface feel to him since he can use their history as fuel to tell a redemption story. Obligatory injured knee like 99% of the roster as the knee braces industry thank OCW for the never ending demand. Just kidding. CQC on the other hand has now to find someone else to fight or retire the titles altogether, honestly there are a few people that I could see as a tag team but there’s not much interest apparently. I guess we will see You can always tell when Spider wins a PPV match because he spams the ppv with RPs just like he did at Summercide and Savage Lands. Still entertaining though. Moore Empress I knew the outcome before the stream started so obviously I wasn’t that invested in it but it still managed to entertain me a lot and I feel like it was one of the better matches of the night. I really liked the attention to details with the mid match scene and the bladejob, it was a nice touch who inspired us to replicate it later on as some sort of revenge ( Empress to Ash and Ash to me). Two amazing players playing by kayfabe and not by thirst, both using the cage even at the cost of losing competitive advantage and that helps a lot in the overall quality. Top spot was the missed dive, I don’t know what happened there but it was cool. I admit the finish was a bit confusing live, but probably just to me. It was cleared up immediately after by Ashley and it now makes me want to see a rubber match between the two, possibly for the title Don’t know what to say about P3 RPs anymore other than they are entertaining and that I only understand 10% because I am a retard who doesn’t read the literature Wrex Parca Unexpected match that stole the show. I thought Parca was going to lose fairly quick but he didn’t. This match shows how mastering the kickout minigame automatically makes you a top tier player pretty much as the learning curve is pretty much just that, if we can even call it a learning curve. Either way the match was great, it kept everyone guessing until the very end and proved that Parca can easily become a main eventer in the future since he has already proven he can be a consistent roleplayer. Quartz already talked about the pop up finisher so I don’t want that to become the focus of a match that was otherwise amazing, just don’t do it in the future as imho it is cheesy as fuck (it’s irreversible and looks retarded). Wrex kicking out of that was absolutely justified in my opinion. Go for a tapout or a roll up instead next time. Parca on Ps4 is now a breath of fresh air as Turmoil needed more mid to top tier players to step up and that’s good news. Really happy for the exposure he got this season and I’m looking forward to see more from him. Cool RP by Dupree who mentioned past legends. Can't say much because I don't know them but still it was an interesting read and helped building the historic feeling of the show Spider Bobby This will go down in history as the match who killed OCW (momentarily). I wasn’t really rooting for someone in particular but I felt like unifying the titles, regardless of the winner, was the right thing to do as there were way too many midcard titles on Xbox. I hope Bobby sticks around. Main Event With all due respect to KD who is an OCW legend and probably started here when I was in primary school, the entrance was bad. Aside from the Balor face paint, watching the most imposing and fearsome OCW superstar crawling on the floor as if he was possessed was a bit ridiculous. With that out of the way, the match was solid and told a good story, with two players who clearly know each other well and it shows on the overall quality. Some awkward spots up until the 20 minutes mark as the ladder was more of an obstacle than an actual object and with H2O who probably forgot to put his ladder daredevil skill on and that’s why he couldn’t dive (guess). Action really picked up towards the end with the table spot, some cool finishing sequences and the final running finisher to a KD armed with a weapon. Solid match throughout, a bit long, but absolutely a good conclusion to the Inception arch.
