Telos's Achievements

  1. WhereCulture News Late last night, OCW star Telos made an impromptu phone call to Gabe Seltzer’s podcast, during a conversation in which the host was speaking about OCW faction DNS. “I been listening to you talk about these guys all damn week and its pissing me off”, said Telos. “You used to be respected in this industry. Your opinion used to be worth two cents. Now you just rambling like all those other clowns online.” After a brief, but heated back and forth with Seltzer, Telos hinted that he may be making his way back to Turmoil, saying, “ Its time to go to work. Podcast ain't the place to draw a line, but Turmoil just might be. I got a lot to say, and this platform don’t deserve to host it.” Telos confirmed his plans with a tweet about an hour later, seen at the bottom of this post. It will be interesting to see what Telos has to say this Friday in Brooklyn.

    October 27

October 27, Philadelphia, PA. Gray tinted clouds cover the sunshine, while rain begins to drizzle into the fall breeze. A crowd of mourners begins to disperse as the scene rests on a man dressed in black, only distinguished by his towering figure. A smaller, slightly frail man walks toward him. Nipsey: I'm glad you made the drive, Los. He would've wanted you here. The two men stand side by side, looking over a casket as it's lowered into the ground. Telos: I already can't face the world. Not sure if I would be able to face myself if I wasn't here. Telos' face rests in shadow as Nipsey gives him a pat on the back. Nipsey: No matter what you did, or what adversity you faced, your father was proud of you. And he loved you. Telos: I don't know why he would be. How can you take pride in something unrefined? Unfinished? All I did was let him down. Nipsey stops to ponder the question. Nipsey: Your fault ain't in your failures boy. It's in your resolve. Just because some shit didn't go your way, doesn't mean the job is done. Nipsey: He didn’t get to do all he wanted, and he didn’t get to see you do what you wanted. Yall in the same boat, but you still got time Los. So before you lose the chance, go ahead and tell him what you need. Nipsey gives Telos a pat on the arm before turning and following the crowd away from the cemetery. Telos, still covered in shadow, lowers his head to look toward the casket. Telos: I used to want to be noticed. Then that turned into wanting people to feel my presence when I walked in the room, stepped into the ring….but things are different now. Telos: You and I shared a lot of things over the years. But the one thing that we’ve shared since my first day on Earth is gone now. I’m sorry for that. But I’m gonna make it right. I’m gonna make them see me the way you saw me. Unrefined, but unbreakable. Undisciplined, but unyielding. Unfinished, and unstoppable. I love you back, pop. And I promise you, they will see me. Telos remains standing over the grave, oblivious to the storm brewing above him.
  3. Been out of town all week so I'm getting caught up on things. This is absolutely correct though, this match was not up to the standards that I typically submit, whether recently or 2 years ago. Communication could have been better, unfortunately it wasn't, so when its deadline time and the match needs to be in I'll take liberties where needed. Not gonna linger on that, but those who need to know know, and moving forward I plan on returning to a consistent product for any show I'm part of.
  4. Not to be all sentimental and shit, but around this time last year is when I made my OCW debut, starting with Riot 500 leading to Lution 12. To make it on to the main card for Lution 13 in that time span means a lot to me, and I genuinely want to thank all you guys for the work you put in each week to keep OCW rolling. Great fucking show everybody.

    The Patient

Crickets chirp as a building in the distance comes into focus. The faint glow of an OCW logo can be seen on the upper right corner of the building. Trainer: “It’s only been a month, but you seem to be recovering rapidly. The rehab has been doing you some good.” The Patient removes a brace from around his abdomen. Stiffly, he stands and walks across the room to grab a bottle of water. Trainer: “We still got some time to work, but by the time you’re ready to get back in the ring, you’ll be stronger and more resilient than you’ve ever been.” Trainer: “4 weeks, and we’ve had one motto. What doesn’t kill you makes you what?” The Patient: “...Stronger....” The Patient walks back toward the trainer, hands grasping the barbell on the matted floor. He knocks out 10 deadlifts in quick succession. Trainer: “I said what doesn’t kill you makes you what?!” He continues lifting with the trainer’s voice filling the room. The Patient: “Stronger.” Trainer: “That loss to AC Cobra was minor. It didn’t set you back. It didn’t make you weak. It made you what?” The Patient: “STRONGER” Trainer: “You got in the ring and you made light work of Cort Marshall. That was proof. That was the gain after the loss. That victory made you what?” The Patient: “STRONGER!” Trainer: “At Savage Lands, you faced a bully. You faced a machine. You gave 30 minutes of pure effort. Zero to a hundred from jump.” “But you took an ass whooping. You got the shit beat out of you and you been here with me ever since.” The Patient drops the barbell violently, staring at his trainer. The moment is filled with tension, but the trainer doesn’t withdraw. He steps forward towards his client and says,.... Trainer: “Cyborg didn’t kill you. He made you what?” Telos stares through the man opposite himself, and speaks with conviction... Telos: “A monster.” The camera pulls back as the two men continue to work towards Telos’ return….
  6. - Valk and Jackman are a really good combo. I’ve enjoyed damn near every part of their search for B-17. - The Women’s Championship Triple Threat surprised me, in a good way. The match felt like it was on 10 from the first bell and never let up. Not a lot of memorable spots, but a good competitive match all the way through. Looking forward to seeing Dragana’s reign as champ. --- 3 ½ stars. - I watched Malu/Archer on and off during the stream, so I went back and watched it again to give a fair review. God. Damn. This was a brawl, and no matter who came out on top, it was well earned. Archer seemed to control the first half of the match before everything evened itself out, and in the end Malu retains. Awesome match from beginning to end from both men. 4 ½ stars - I don’t know what the fuck is going on with Quartz, as per usual, but I’m glad to get the context for Rust’s attire lol. I gotta give the W to Cort for two reasons though: 1. He called Iguana a weeb, 2. He referenced Snake Eater. Am I a Cort Marshall mark now? Time will tell. - CQC vs AWOL. I just….I don’t even know what to say about this shit. Cort and Shep against Quartz with French Rollins incapacitated outside of the ring and what do they do? Start dancing. What happens after that? Quartz and Cort whiff on like 5 moves a piece consecutively lmao. All in all, a pretty good match with an ending that just left me shaking my head. Only four things certain in this world: Death, Taxes, Cort losing and Quartz putting the team on his back. 4 stars - Not gonna review/rate my own match but I’ll say this: As soon as it was over, I put my controller down and said “Fuck...That was fun”. Still learning my way around OCW and at times it shows, but it was one of my favorite matches nonetheless. Appreciate my guy Dihydrogen Monoxide taking the time to help build this feud with me and steer me in the right direction. Hope you guys liked the payoff. - Sentai Hare…..Unmasked?! - Hell of a match from Valk and Showblitz. Thought the last Angel’s Grace would put it away, but no dice. Loved the moonsault through the announce table spot as well. Stixx face turnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn! Nice promo after the match, sets a solid foundation for all 3 moving forward as well as showing respect to the women’s division. 4 stars. - H2O vs Mugen. I’m a simple man, with simple tastes, so when I see a Sinestro Corps logo I know who’s side I’m on. Some strong offense from Harvey at the top of the mat…….Oh my God. Somebody check this man’s face and neck lmaoooo that spot on the steps was brutal. Really good match from both guys, and an ending that got a genuine pop out of me. Mugen is the new Light Heavyweight Champ. 4 ½ stars - Stacy may kill Kassidy one day, and really, who could blame her? Gonna update with thoughts on the rest of the show when I get some time
  7. Since no one said it........ First
  8. I was made aware of the FPR break last night, as neither Cort or I noticed as it happened during the match. If we did, the match definitely would've been redone. As is though, gotta move forward with that blemish on my record and be more aware of moments like that.
  9. The camera opens in a dark, and seemingly empty room. The soft glow of a television screen casts a faint light. In front of it, a large silhouette. From the TV, an unknown male voice fills the air. TV: “Ladies, Gentlemen.. Pathetic Weaklings, I know that for so long you've suffered great pain….” The silhouette shifts. In a low growling voice, it speaks. Silhouette: “Suffering….What a sardonic choice of wording.” The camera cuts to the television, showing an interview of OCW rookie Sammy Johnston. Silhouette: “Your ideas are admirable, Mr. Johnston. But I ask, what is your purpose? What is the goal you seek?” Another interview appears on the screen. Rookie Benjamin Moore walks out of the locker room, ready to introduce himself. Moore: "Yeah, OCW should be honored to have me here, and so should you." Silhouette: “Honored? A rookie already deserving of honor, is paradoxical at best. It may be glory that you seek, Mr. Moore, but what is your purpose?” As the camera pulls back, The Silhouette continues speaking, to no one in particular. There is a palpable tension in his stance, though he hasn’t moved in minutes. Silhouette: “A wise man once said, ‘The arrogance of success is to believe that what you did yesterday will be sufficient for tomorrow’.” “The rookies of OCW seem to have two things in common: a sense of superiority, built on the foundation of arrogance,” The camera lifts and pans to reveal the silhouette as OCW neophyte Telos, staring intensely at the screen… Telos: “And an absence of purpose, built on the foundation of apathy.” Telos: “I would not claim to be the savior that these men believe they are, for that is neither my desire, nor my terminus. I am no liberator, I am no protector, and OCW will not receive an ounce of benevolence from me. I am sent to absolve the apathetic and the arrogant, assure that they reach their zenith…….. And ultimately, act as the harbinger of their END.” Camera cuts to black.
