The camera zooms on the logo outside of the OCW Combat Center. After a couple of seconds, we hear a man letting a giggle escape before he turns the phone towards him. He is wearing a luchador mask that lets his eyes and his mouth appear. He is in his car, smiling, and starts talking. PHÉNIX: The OCW… I’ve never been closer to realizing one of my biggest dreams. Walking on the path that so many incredible legends built, the likes of Nate Ortiz, Paul Pugh, Mad Michael Morrison,... If you’ve been following the European scene these last few years, you probably recognize me. If not, let me present myself… He says in his strong french accent. He clears his throat before continuing. PHÉNIX: A few years ago at the age of 17, a little boy in Paris started to realize his dream. Becoming a professional wrestler. Immediately, people understood something was special with him, and the day of his 18th anniversary, he had his first professional match. This little boy is right in front of you. After matches, championship wins in France, he decided to get to the next step, being known in all of Europe. That’s how he gained his nickname of “The French Prodigy”. Wearing his colors proudly, everything seems perfect for him. Nothing could stop him from becoming the biggest star the indie European circuit had seen in years…If it wasn’t for that night in Paris. In front of his own people, his family, close to win his first World Championship at only 20…until he injured his arm..badly. The tone in his voice changed. He pulled the sleeve of his t-shirt up to show the straps on his shoulder, as well as the elbow pad he was wearing. PHÉNIX: In just seconds, all his dreams were crushed. People said he wouldn’t be able to get back in the ring.
