  1. Devon Flash has firmly cemented himself as the one to watch, well done mate.
  2. OCW Combat Center, 06:04 AM. The scene opens following DOC as he makes his way through the OCW Combat Center, his worn-out duffle bag slung over his shoulder. With a look of recognition in his eyes, he spies someone off-camera and the unmistakable form of H2O comes into shot. The two share a wicked smile and dap up loudly and pull each other in for a warm bro-hug as the camera pans out to reveal the full extent of the Combat Center gym, which at this time is completely empty, apart from the two members of Code Green. DOC: Harvey! So sorry I’m a bit late, man, just been so long since I’ve had to get up for this time, still getting back into the swing of things, haha. Harvey stares blankly for a moment. H2O: Of course, man! I’ve only been here for like half an hour already, no big deal, it’s good to see you! DOC: And you too, champ… Anyway, looks like you got everything set up while you were waiting for me, you ready to get started now? H2O: My doctor told me my arm hasn’t fully healed from that elbow fracture Parca gave me a month back. Just a few more weeks and I’ll be cleared by the medical staff. DOC: Know the feeling brother, let’s keep it light today and you’ll be ring ready in no time. H2O: You know what? Screw it, I need to train. I’ll just have to take it easy. The two crank up the tunes and begin their early morning training. Warm-ups, stretching completed, and then into the main bulk of the session. Conditioning in the ring, resistance training, and then back in the ring to practice strikes. DOC: Let’s see what you got then, Harvey. H2O: Oh you’ll see, Kang. DOC grabs the pads, joining the former OCW World’s Champion H2O in the ring and commencing the dance around the ring. The sparring begins well, with Harvey’s precise movement and strikes matched by The Kang's ring awareness and technical know-how, and the two find a good rhythm and pace that steadily ramps up over the course of the bout. With a quick knee into the side, protected by DOC’s well-timed block with the pad, Harvey suddenly jolts back and lines up the Riptide, causing DOC to jump back to narrowly avoid a foot connecting with his head and neck. DOC: Woah-oh, steady on there, mate. Wouldn’t want to put me back on the shelf now, would you? H2O just stands there and laughs. H2O: Nah, not at all. We all waited so long for you to come back to join your brother. DOC: I’ll tell you what, mate, you are just full of surprises. Cheers for the session, bro, if I don’t see you before, I’ll see you at RIOT on Friday, there are a few rookies Everrett and I need to wrangle. Appreciate you helping me get ready for it. DOC extends his hand for a fist bump. Harvey stares at it for a moment, before smiling widely again. H2O: Obviously, bro, see you there. The two fist bump and head in their separate directions, as the camera fades to black.
  3. Wrestlution Allied Powers curtain call pending...
  4. Respect to Danny for showing me how it’s done, he’s come on leaps and bounds since Mr Undeated and is proving every show why he deserves to be a part of Dominion, and I hope he continues to kick on from here.
  5. I think the fact that neither Rust nor Quartz committed fully to being the babyface of the feud harmed it in the beginning. Naturally, as things have progressed, people have leaned more towards Rusty as the face more out of the fact that Quartz went mega heel and won the first match, which is a bit of a shame as it just seemed like Rust’s own mega heel run was getting started. Ant going on hiatus and the Nate/Pugh storyline has also contributed to this, and while it has still been a well told and built narrative, I just wish one of them would have committed to turning face from the start. Also, it doesn’t help that the match is on the card that includes a chamber and Nate vs Pugh, and if Quartz wins again I really can’t see the story continuing for any logical reason. As for the Doc/H2O dynamic, I do agree with you in the sense that we were put in the position we have to give a legitimate challenge to LC, although I do fear us winning would be a sideways step for the division, as it’s another pair of ‘top’ handlers at the head of a division that encourages new people to team up to fight for a more realistically attainable prize and build their characters in the process, which has worked for a lot of people in recent times might I add, myself, Antonio, Quartz and Rust just to name a few. The problem at the moment is that new teams like Power and Glory and Wrestling Club aren’t deemed legit enough yet to have a chance of winning, which leads to more odd pairings of top singles guys until these teams can git gud, but that’s a longer term project which doesn’t help the competitiveness of the tag division in the short term. Anyway, go Team OCW, I hope The Clash is really good.
  6. The scene opens with an eerily familiar sight; Doc Green sitting gingerly in the medical room backstage, accompanied by an onsite paramedic. Light Heavyweight title in his left hand, he uses his other to palm his nose, caking it in the blood still gushing from his nose. He winces slightly at the sight. Doc: ...Ugh. Not again. Another paramedic approaches, putting a clipboard aside and standing across from Doc, handing him a handkerchief to stop the bleeding. Paramedic: Well, we got the preliminary X-Ray results back. Turns out the injuries you sustained in the ladder match with Antonio Everrett are, in a phrase, much worse than we first thought. Doc grimaces, eyeing the championship in his hand. Paramedic: The bad news is you’re looking at a septal hematoma, orbital bone fracture and a really, really broken nose. I’m sorry, but we’re going to have to advise that you- Doc: No. You can’t. I just got this. I’m defending it next week, you can’t stop me. Paramedic: And we had a feeling you might say that. There is some good news; we can clear you- Doc: Done. Thank you doctor, we’re done here. Doc moves to lease, wincing in pain as he gets to his feet. Paramedic: -on one condition. You need to wear this in the ring, to protect yourself. The paramedic pulls a black face mask from one of the nearby shelves. Paramedic: Obviously, we’re still going to recommend that you don’t compete, but if you want to continue as you are, this is the only way. Doc stares for a moment before reluctantly taking the mask and nodding. Paramedic: It’s already fitted for you, since we thought this may be the route you take. And Doc, if your injuries get any worse at all, we may still take it out of your hands, so don’t push your luck. Doc inspects the mask, before taking a look at his championship and then back to the paramedic. He begins to move to the exit before doubling back to speak. Doc: Understood, doctor. Loud and clear.
  7. Summercide 2020 Night One - Justin Jehst puts in his best PPV performance since Lution 13, always feels like with him he’s one big win away from being a top babyface on either show. Sad to see him lose here but there’s no shame in losing to Quartz, especially in a super competitive and back and forth match. - I was super impressed by the Safest Wrestling Match ever. What started as a great comedy based feud made for some excellent story telling and a great match. Seeing Mugen’s epic entrance with the cloak makes me want to see what someone like Jehst could do with a CAW with the aesthetic of Mugen. - It kills me that FloJo always seems to get it right competitively but as soon as PPVs roll around, Gooch changes his play style and becomes hyper focused on the meta way of playing, often to his detriment. Nonetheless, as long as he continues putting in the work, I see no reason FloBerg won’t get more opportunities of this kind, as she is one of the strongest characters in the women’s division currently. - I fucking loved that Jacob Trance attire, that’s the tweet. Cide night two tonight, we move.
  8. Congrats Valk on an amazing run to this point, hopefully we see you again in the future!
  9. It’s Jerome btw not Kareem, Kareem is the manager mate . But yeah, I do see where you’re coming from, post Lution I wanted Doc to have a nice cool down feud to help rebuild docs character after that big loss to H2O a couple months ago. And Calum came to me and asked if I wanted to work with Jerome and since no one else asked to work with me I gladly accepted. I kinda see it more of Doc giving the rub to Jerome, if Jerome beats me that’s a huge win for him and cements him as a player, if Doc wins then it’s another notch in his belt while he gets his heat back. Cheers for the feedback, always appreciated.
  10. Some thoughts - Danny Watts has the best match of his career so far IMO. The match with JackMo a close second, but the competitive intensity in this match felt a lot more natural and easy to invest things. Great things soon come for Danny Watts! - Justin Jehst, along with Cort, continues to be one of the premier narrative vehicles in OCW. He’s a guy whose never had to fight for titles to stay relevant, and his character has been so well moulded to this point to help others build their character so when he does eventually start fighting for titles, he’s going to be perfectly suited to have a damn good run. Leo Grimm has benefitted no end from his feud with Jehst, going from somewhat of an after thought (sorry Nate lol) to a well built monster heel, shown more through his actions out the ring than inside it, because of his limitations in a comp setting for now. It’s the classic wrestling promoter saying, highlight the strengths and hide the weaknesses, or something like that. - Oh dear, Tre. You guys definitely did the right thing by having the screwy finish but if it were me I’d have had H2O appear on the stage doing a dance or something and then have Spider roll up Tre so it’s glaringly obvious there’s trickery afoot rather than just having his music play and Spider hit the GO for the win. Either way, given Tre’s track record in big matches Tre vs H2O will still bang, I’m sure of it. - It’s Lution season, baby! It’s been great to see everyone pulling out all the stops despite everything that’s been going on with the world. Sending love and support to everyone who might need it at the moment, thank you again Melon and other frontline workers you guys truly are the best of us. Cheers guys
